Specialist Laboratory Relocation Services

Investment in industry leading vehicles and equipment has led to BMG being recognised as the leading player in the field of Laboratory Relocations supporting scientific organisations, commercial laboratories and medical research organisations and university departments.

We have invested in our fleet of vehicles adding a number of specialist laboratory moving trucks that are unique in our industry, these trucks are equipped with electrical power inverters that allow internal electrical power points to keep machines such as -80/-120 ULT freezers “powered on” in transit providing protection for scientific samples and research materials. The load carrying compartment of each truck can also be heated or cooled to suit the temperature control needs of the specific equipment and materials being transported. All of our trucks run on “Air-Ride” suspension to take the bumps out of any journey and each has the added bonus of extended “full closure” 3 tonne tail-lifts.

Together with the latest handling equipment such as Stair-climbers for awkward items that don’t fit in the lift, Skoots (think hydraulic jacks at each end of a machine) scissor tables, flight cases, roll-cages and high-spec packaging materials this has led to BMG being selected as the relocation partner of choice for specialist companies such as BioOutsource, Source Bio and various University Science departments such as The Rowett Institute, Aberdeen.

With our fully trained and experienced Laboratory moving staff who are all CSCS card holders and securely vetted and disclosure checked to BS7858 standard, custom built Laboratory vehicles, bespoke packing materials and “Live” transit options we make the Laboratory relocation process safe, compliant, seamless and successful.

Our safety record is second to none and we recognise that compliance with cGxP requirements and the regulations that govern the transport of hazardous materials by road, are a major concern when moving a laboratory. Our experienced laboratory relocation teams and proven methodology meet and exceed all Good Laboratory Practise (GLP), cGxP requirements and associated regulations.

BMG provide meticulous attention to detail, our diligent laboratory Move Managers understand the vital importance of maintaining audit trails and recording a full chain of custody for ongoing research and sample materials, ensuring all legal requirements are met in terms of risk assessments, method statements and GxP compliance.

Our dangerous goods safety advisors (DGSAs) are involved from an early stage, the DGSAs will control chemical transfers, hazardous chemical packing and moving techniques ensuring all risks are fully mitigated.

We provide ADR qualified drivers and licenced vehicles.

BMG is very different to other relocation companies operating in this field:
